The Bar Harbor Water Division is a cornerstone of excellence, dedicated to providing superior water services to our thriving community. As a Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of our processes and contribute to our mission of delivering top-quality services.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Using data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities for operational enhancement.
- Providing exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring utmost satisfaction.
- Collaborating cross-functionally to gather and interpret data-related requirements.
- Developing and maintaining comprehensive reports and data visualizations to communicate insights effectively.
- Managing software applications, including but not limited to Microsoft Excel and Word, to analyze and streamline data.
- Overseeing essential tasks such as scheduling and tracking work orders, quarterly billing, payroll processing, and more.
- Assisting in the preparation of critical communications, including backflow preventer letters and disconnect notices.
- Conducting quality control reviews, particularly focused on quarterly billing accuracy.
- Maintaining strong working relationships with Town employees, public officials, contractors, and customers.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Data Science, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Proven expertise in data analysis and a demonstrated ability to derive actionable insights.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, experience in Munis a plus.
- Exceptional organizational, communication (written and verbal), and problem-solving skills.
- A customer-centric approach with a genuine commitment to delivering outstanding service.
- The ability to work autonomously while maintaining confidentiality and fostering positive relationships.
- Prior experience in office management or customer service is a plus.
