City of Gardiner - WasteWater Operator

This employee is responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of the facility, pump stations, laboratory, and collection system.  Work involves monitoring all mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment, dewatering and RBC system according to established standards.  Significant wastewater or related experience desired.  Mandatory rotating on-call and weekend/holiday duties required.  Must be able to work in inclement weather conditions. This position requires additional work such as weekend duty and holiday checks.

Preferable graduate from a vocational program in wastewater treatment with considerable experience in wastewater treatment plant operation. Required to obtain a Grade II Wastewater License within two years of hire and a Grade III Wastewater License within 3 years of hire. 

Starting hourly pay rate is $22.39 to $25.38 depending on experience and qualifications.  Excellent benefit package includes health, MePERS retirement, paid vacation, sick and holidays. Additional benefits include yearly boot and clothing allowance.
