Collections Laborer for the Scarborough Sanitary District

The Scarborough Sanitary District is seeking a Full-Time Collections Laborer. The Collections Laborer is responsible for performing a variety of services necessary in the daily operations of the collection system. The Collections Laborer must be able to respond directly to emergency situations and be on call on a rotating basis. The successful candidate must possess the following:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Work experience in a wastewater facility preferred; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job
• Excellent time management, multi-tasking and prioritization skills
• Strong work ethic, attention to details and team player
• Decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Solid interpersonal skills required. Must be adaptable and resilient to different personalities and backgrounds.
• Must get along with others.
• Dependable, ability to follow instruction, and respond to management direction and solicit feedback to improve performance.

Licenses/Certifications:
• Current valid State of Maine Class C driver’s license with a clean driving record

The Scarborough Sanitary District offers an excellent pay and benefit package. The wage range for this position is: $23.00 to $28.00 per hour dependent upon experience
