TOWN OF BRIDGTON
WASTEWATER TREATMENT FACILITY OPERATOR

The Town of Bridgton is seeking an individual to serve as a Wastewater Treatment Facility Operator. The Wastewater Treatment Facility (WWTF) Operator is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of the Town of Bridgton's wastewater treatment plant, pump stations, and collection system to ensure safe, efficient, and regulatory-compliant operations. Duties include performing routine laboratory analyses to meet DEP permit requirements, maintaining facility grounds and the drip field, inspecting manholes and sewer infrastructure for defects or leaks, and performing snow removal at plant and pump station locations. The position participates in an every-other-week on-call rotation, requiring 24/7 availability during assigned periods. The successful candidate must obtain a Maine Class I Wastewater Operator Certification within the timeframe established by the Town. Further job details are available upon request.
