BRIDGTON WATER DISTRICT – BRIDGTON, MAINE
The Bridgton Water District is seeking a qualified Water Operator to join our team. This full-time position is responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of the District’s public water supply, treatment facilities, and distribution system.
Duties include:
• Monitoring and operating water treatment and pumping equipment
• Collecting water samples and performing routine testing
• Performing system maintenance, repairs, and meter reading
• Responding to service calls and emergency repairs, including nights/weekends on rotation
• Maintaining accurate records in compliance with state and federal regulations

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Valid Maine driver’s license
• Maine Water Operator license, or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to work outdoors in all weather
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in confined spaces
• Strong communication and customer service skills
