Course Description:
Join us for MMA’s FREE bi-monthly Lunch & Learn series, designed to give members the chance to engage with MMA staff and one another on timely and relevant topics throughout the course of the year. The sessions, held via Zoom, will rotate topics and give you the opportunity to engage in conversation and connect over the ways that MMA staff can support you.
Session 5 in 2026 will provide an overview and valuable “how-tos” when a property or casualty claim needs to be filed.
Best Practices for Handling Property and Casualty Claims Please join us for an informative session that will provide a clear overview of the Property & Casualty Claims process, including what happens after a claim is reported, member roles and responsibilities, and key steps that help ensure a smooth and effective resolution.
Participants will learn what to do when an incident occurs, how to work effectively with your dedicated Claims Team, and ways to support investigations and recovery efforts. In addition, we'll share practical tips, lessons learned from real-world claim situations, and common challenges. Our goal is to help you feel more confident, prepared, and informed should a claim occur.
By the end of the class, members will have a clearer understanding of the claims process, greater awareness of their responsibilities, and valuable tools designed to help protect their community and support successful claim outcomes. We look forward to having you join us for this meeting, FREE to MMA members.
