Accepting applicants for SEASONAL/TEMPORARY WORKERS with the City of Lewiston Public Works Department. Applications are available at the Human Resources Department or online at www.lewistonmaine.gov.

GENERAL INFORMATION:           Department:    Public Works

Division:          Water & Sewer

                                                            Barg. Unit:      Non-Union, $18.00 - $20.00/hour

Status:             Full-Time (40 hours/week); Seasonal.

Schedule:        Mon-Fri 7:00am – 3:00pm

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma, or equivalent, preferred. Valid Maine Driver’s License in good standing, is required. Preference given to applicants with a valid Class B (CDL) Maine Driver’s License. Having a CDL with N Tank Endorsement is a plus!

Experience with lawn mowing and/or landscaping is preferred, but will train the right candidate.

WORK ACTIVITIES: General maintenance and landscaping around water and sewer facilities in Lewiston and Auburn. Activities include: mowing, weed whacking, raking, shoveling, sidewalk sweeping, painting, planting, mulching, pruning and weeding.
