Scarborough Sanitary District is seeking a Full-Time Administrative Assistant. The candidate shall be responsible for providing daily administrative services for the District customers and employees. Under direction of the Office Manager, this position performs a variety of clerical, administrative, and customer service work to support the overall operations of the District, including receptionist duties. This position requires a high degree of interaction with the public and other departmental offices of the Town and State of Maine while handling and processing sensitive and confidential information.
The successful candidate should possess the following:
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Experience with payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job
• Excellent time management, multi-tasking and prioritization skills
• Strong work ethic, attention to details and team player
• High degree of professionalism and courtesy
• Decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Solid interpersonal skills required. Must be adaptable and resilient to different personalities and backgrounds.
• Must get along with others.
• Dependable, ability to follow instruction, and respond to management direction and solicit feedback to improve performance.
The wage range for this position is: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour dependent upon experience.
