Meter Shop Assistant/Utility Worker

What will I do in this job?

  • You’ll read meters, collect past dues, turn on and shut off services, and assist the road crew in maintenance and repair activities
  • You’ll be part of a skilled team that works together to maintain our water, stormwater and wastewater systems.

What qualifications do I need?

  • Class B commercial drivers license 
  • Class II water operator’s distribution license and a valid backflow prevention device survey license, or the ability to obtain these licenses within 12 months of hire
  • High school diploma or high school equivalency certification
